How do you get out of a rut?

I have been the absolute worst blogger as of late. I've been a bit of a rut, you know the one - work, home, sleep, work, home, sleep, work, home, sleep. When I get in those ruts I tend to feel real sorry for myself and I find it really hard to snap out of it. Depression does run in my family so I try to pay close attention to these feelings and do whatever I can to work through it.

Right now I'm so looking forward to the future that I've realised I'm not enjoying the present. One of my favorite bloggers writes a 'weekly gratitute' post - which is just a thank you to the people/things that made her week. She has inspired me to be more positive/thankful. Maybe if I can take a minute to think about the goods things in my week then hopefully I can start to get out of my rut. It's so easy to get bogged down by a daily routine and forget how lucky we are.

So I may not do a weekly one but I'm going to start here:

Marty B - thanks for putting up with me: listening, hugging, laughing, challenging, etc.
My parents - all 4 of them! You guys are amazing - I'm so thankful ya'll worked together to raise us.
Modern medicine.
Beyonce and Jay-Z

Here's to getting out of my rut and hoping the world doesn't end this Saturday.
